The "boots on the ground" work that we do in the legislative realm is at the heart of the Coalition's purpose: To advocate on behalf of appraising professionals throughout the state and act as a unified voice in promoting and protecting the interests of appraisers while fostering public trust and confidence in our profession through non-partisan interaction with legislative bodies, government regulatory agencies, and other related organizations. To do this, we identify key issues affecting appraisers and work with our Lobbyist to raise awareness, provide education, and propose new legislation.
Meet Our Lobbyist
Tony Sermonti has over 15 years of political and policy experience, working with leadership and members of the State Senate, as a legislative director for a large state agency, and as an advisor to executive branch agency directors and elected officials. He has national experience, serving as a White House press advance lead with two national presidential campaigns. His public affairs firm represents a range of businesses in technology and public sector clients and we are very pleased to be working with him. Tony is an excellent strategist, he understands our profession, and is a natural problem-solver.
The Coalition is grateful for the impact Tony has had in advocating for the appraisal profession with legislators in Olympia.
Fun Fact: Tony is also a pilot and has held a license with the FAA for nearly 20 years.
Meet Our Legislative Chair
Dallas Kiedrowski has worked in the real estate profession for over two decades and he brings a unique, multi-faceted, and versatile skillset. Dallas is a board Organization Member with the Coalition and has a long history of speaking engagements. He has an active role in our annual Day on the Hill event, working with our board's executive team and Tony Sermonti. He's had numerous speaking engagements, including providing testimony on issues related to property data collection, and his efforts have had a direct impact on policies that govern the appraising profession. Dallas also participates on the IAAO Experience Credit for Mass Appraisal Work Task Force, which partners with The Appraisal Foundation's State Harmonization Task Force.
Here's a message from Dallas:
"My commitment to the profession is led by my passion for real estate and a drive for appraiser expertise to be recognized and met with common sense legislation that leads to accessibility for all who strive to pursue this profession. I look forward to meeting the challenges that this legislative session in Olympia brings head on and I am proud to serve as your Legislative Committee Chair."
Fun Fact: Dallas was born third out of eight children. He has five brothers and two sisters.
